"....I've taken note that Alpha Metaphors fall into three groups, which also divide into more complex subspecies; Jigsaw, Mimesis, and Berserker, names I've chosen myself. Each type has very distinct facial differentiations from other types, though there are obvious variegations within each type, such as eyes, maw length, ears, teeth, and so on. I've also found this parasite, Anxiety, makes it utterly impossible to categorize specimens, as it completely mutates landmark features of the face. I will make future notes on these variations and this parasite when I come across them.

Jigsaws terrify me the most...I hear whispers coming from their dwelling and dare not venture too close. I do try to study them during their rare outings, though that isn't very long....They see me watching them, and they watch me back...Always with a smile, always with small beady eyes...

I've only seen three Berserkers since my decent into this realm, and all were seen from a very very far distance. I don't know much about them other than they are very big, have pointed facial features and are very destructive.

The most familiar, and common species I've come across has been the Mimesis. As a result, most of my studies have been of them. I've noticed they tend to have a canine-like head. Some have what seems to be hair or mains, other's don't. Most have ears, but I have seen a few rare cases where those are missing... Perhaps a hybrid species? It may just be me, but I think I might have seen one talking.

Though I live in constant fear of these creatures, I have been for the most part ignored, other than the casual run-in with male Mimesis... I'm not sure how I've managed to have survived all these weeks...Or has it been months? "
