Though, at the conventions around here it usually is pretty calm nighttime. Most people are smart and goes to bed or sits somewhere feeling dead xD

Anime Expo (Los Angeles). Usually Saturday nights at the bigger cons are the ones people tend to party on. We chose to do photoshoots instead =w=b

I dunno, I'm actually really new to the fandom :0 but from my experience, yeah, the fandom out here is really, really,/i> interconnected.

Where we live it's.. well, you don't find MGS-cosplayers everywhere. They are quite a few. I saw a Big Boss last year and my friend made a Psycho Mantis cosplay for a convention this spring (I have a photo somewhere in my gallery).
I'd like to travel to te US, but it's so far..

Well, what kinds of cosplayers do you have out there? I've never been to Europe myself

Well, Sweden is not very expensive. We\re actually pretty cheap, or that's what none-swedes who visist says at least.. xD
Well.. There are lots of Hetalia-cosplayers here, and I hate it... ._. They are everywhere! Hetalia, Naruto (of course), and all the other obvious animes.. Then we have the ambitious ones, who cosplay huge things from Bioshock or other wierd games/animes.
But around here there are not many MGS-cosplayers :/

So, it's much like generic convention scenes around here, then? I can't speak to Sweden, but I wonder if cosplayers in the US fall for 'fad cosplay' quicker? Sure we have narutards and hetalia fucks, but it seems like the same types of weeby cosplayers seem to flock to all the 'fads;' right now Homestuck and My Little Pony are starting to become fad cosplays. I wonder if we just run through them faster? (the same people who cosplay those, tend to also cosplay hetalia, naruto, bleach, etc...)

Yeah. I like MLP casually, but in no way is it any kind of, like, fandom for me... I don't understand how it got to be such a fad in the first place. :/ It's cute, but it's no LazyTown.
