This is a page from Heroic Publishing's new Flare comic book series. Although the final art was colored by someone else in the print version, I wanted to try my hand at coloring one of my own pages.Related content

I think the darker colors on Professor Muerte in the published version worked better, but otherwise this is just fantastic. The creative layout on this page, with Sparkplug bursting right into the scene between Hunter and Muerte, is one of my favorite bits from that outstanding story. I still get chuckles whenever I think of that ending.
And while I honestly have mixed feelings about most of your work, no one, absolutely no one, has managed to draw Professor Muerte as utterly menacing as you have. It was nice to see a brief glimpse of him in League of Champions #13.

Lol...no, you're not a moron. I drew it and colored it. I was hired as a penciler, but am too slow to pencil, ink and color. I colored it myself after it was published for fun and practice. I hope I can do a whole book one day, but it's just too time consuming.
