One who has fallen from the light of God's heart long loses their ability to feel through time. But as she knelt there, seeking comfort from me - a creature cast from her Lord's paradise - I was not at all surprised by the stir she caused within my soul.

A beast has no right to weep in their own pity. But for her, my heart will cry forever.

This is an illustraition of a short story I have had in my mind since I was about 10 years old. The sexes of the characters change over time, but one part of the story will always stay true - finding hope, and truth, and salvation in the least likely of places.

Kind of true to life in some ways, hmm?
