au where everything’s the same except there are equal rights
After seeing Charizard’s Gigantimax form, I got inspired and wanted to do some form designs for Venusaur and Blastoise. Overall, I’m pretty darn happy with the results!
Venusaur's design was very inspired by pollen and pink vapors coming off of its multiple flowers. It likely has a special move that's similar to sweet scent but much more powerful.
Blastoise's design was inspired by the wing-like thingies on Wartortle's head and tail, so I decided to roll with that.
Bear in mind these are very conceptual and probably likely to change if I decide to draw them again, but it was a really fun exercise in character design! Let me know what you think! Are there any other pokemon you'd like to have a Gigantimax form? Please feel free to share your thoughts!

But the laziness in Charizard's design does NOT come close to Meowth's. MY GOD

Duuuude, they look sick! I love Blastoise’s design callback to Watortle and I love how Venusaur looks!
But, to be honest, I feel like Blastoise’s design is...a bit lackluster. I mean, it looks just like regular Blastoise; only it has slightly bigger cannons with Wartortle’s head fins and tail. But, I do like the idea of Gigantamax Blastoise having flowing streams of water.
Maybe expand on that concept; but, that’s just my opinion. All in all, it looks great!

That's a completely fair criticism tbh. It felt more like a mega evolution or even a Blastoise redesign while I was working on it, but I couldn't figure out what I could add to it to really make it feel like a ‘gigantimax.'
I was hesitant to give it more cannons on the chance that it ended up looking too much like Mega Blastoise, but maybe more cannons would help it look a bit more intimidating, especially if they had water flowing out of them too.

If anything, just give him one massive cannon on his back and make him a quadruped. If Drednaw started out as a quadruped and Gigantamaxed into a biped, who’s to say it can’t work backwards with Blastoise?
Plus, you could argue that Gigantamaxed Charizard was inspired by certain elements from Mega Charizard X, especially with the flames leaking out of his body.

Maybe Gigantamax Blastoise could have river streams flowing from his back and forming his Wartortle-like tail.
