Just kidding! This is the last thing I made for my SideHack project. If you look at the previous mockup I posted, you'll notice I wasn't very happy with how sterile everything looked. I also don't think I did the greatest job at color choices. So I decided to dial things back and go for a more retro look.

Here, I took inspiration from old systems like the ZX Spectrum that could only render a single layer of grid-locked graphics. Everything had a black background to it and as they slided around, they carried that with them. In addition, I also gave a shot at making a 16-color palette. I think that went well but I'd need to use this palette for other mockups to see if it needs improving.
