And here's the final mockup of my SideHack concept! I think this is the closest I got to realizing the aesthetic I wanted. It still felt a little sterile but I liked the colors. If I revisited this today I think I could do a better job of making everything look worn-down.

With this mockup, it becomes more obvious that this is a turn-based grid-locked side-scrolling roguelike. I really liked the concept but as I programmed it, I realized it might be too complex for a first project. I didn't scrap this idea, but it's indefinitely on hold until I finish much simpler ideas. These will be posted eventually!
