April 2017And to go along with my Zoria mockup , here's a small sampling of sprites from the same project. Overall, I wanted to go for a really heavily-shaded chiaroscuro look like Niklas Jansson does on his stuff. Finding 4 palettes that work for everything from NPCs to items to weapons was tricky but I like the ones I settled on in the end.
November 2018:
Big update! Added a ton more of these guys along with some bosses. And screw it, I'll show them all off here instead of just a few.

Hey Dragon. I was wondering if you took commissions for sprites similar to these? It's so hard to find people who make true 8-bit sprites. I created this DeviantArt account to find spriters around 6PM this evening and it's 12AM and you're the only person I've seen that understands the real limitations of the hardware. Please let me know!
