Eriantielle has discovered that she can't have children and it nearly destroys her because she promised to provide Raghnall with an heir. This discovery leads to Eriantielle going to desperate measures, including petitioning the Gods. Raghnall is just trying to comfort her, more concerned about his wife's emotional state than continuing his family line.
