This is for 's contest for her characters from her story "When Seraphim Fall" - Winter Contest!First entry- and extended deadline!So, it’s that time of year again when I announce my annual contest- yay!!
This year, because I have been working on ‘When Seraphin Fall’ for most of it, this will provide the basis for this year’s contest too.
The theme for this year’s contest will be: Pre Raphaelite art.

In the opening chapter of ‘When Seraphin Fall’ the Woman in Blue compares the portrait of Grace to art created by the Pre Raphaelite brotherhood:

I would be interested to see contest entries based around interpreting Grace and William’s relationship through the ideas and themes brought out in Pre Raphaelite art, particularly around the story of ‘La Belle Dame Sans Merci’- the beautiful enchantress who ensnares the sanity of a passing knight- the Victorian version of a ‘Femme Fatale.’

I picked Rossetti's "Lady Lilith" www.metmuseum.org/toah/works-o… as the inspiration for this picture, then put a very entranced William in there as well . I had a lot of fun with Grace's hair, I think that's the main reason I did this one, to get to shade all that curly black hair
