Description
Took some ladybug pictures on my phone while doing yardwork for my boss. I'm surprised how good some of them came out.
edit: And I just noticed that I can SEE MY REFLECTION in the ladybug's shell! Dang!

Such a wonderful picture! My tiny bug-loving heart adores these pictures of yours, and dang, the quality of these pictures is so good!
(Also, I'm being a creeper here, but I'd never heard of Jerusalem Crickets before, and I must say I am impressed. Odd as though it may sound, they look pretty cute!)

My phone takes surprisingly good pictures I use it normally for music while I'm working so it's always on hand if I see something I want to photograph. Unfortunately, that also means I get interrupted by phone calls
People buy them as pets, I've heard. At least they're not harmful to plants, they actually eat insects and dead material in the ground.

Aww, sweet! Makes me miss my old job at the garden shop. We had regular frogs all the time and it was the first place I saw a mole cricket from up close. The little monster scared the heck out of me, I thought I'm seeing alien invasion. Ladybugs are much preferred

OMG, mole crickets are so creepy, I can totally understand your reaction We have these creepy dudes around here - www.google.com/search?q=jerusaβ¦
I love working in the garden, I just wish it wasn't so hard on my body. My hands, arms, and back are a wreck from the weekend at my parent's and then three days of yard work at my normal job

Holy crap, these look like a real life pokemon Thankfully we never saw more of them and our plants weren't dying on us so it was probably not a big/harmful colony.
Garden work is no joke, but I like how physical it is - serves as good balance for dwelling too much in the abstract. But yeah, the back pain can leave you a wreck.

They're pretty amazing to see in person, nice part is they're not pests, just kind of big and creepy
I'm taking the weekend off and doing NOTHING physical (at least as much as I can get away with ) so I can recover

That's indeed relieving.
A wise decision! Do some yoga and take all the baths!
