I've been sitting on this darn sketch forever, just needed to get it finished and posted

This is Jackie and Puff from the animated TV special "Puff the Magic Dragon" that was shown on CBS in 1978 and was inspired by several Peter, Paul, and Mary songs

I remember loving this show, I was already familiar with the song because my parents were HUGE folk song fans. Funny part was when I finally looked up the stills for it I was shocked at the way Puff looked. I honestly didn't remember him looking so much like a late middle aged stoner dude with thinning hair Total shock to my system, so much so I almost gave up on doing this one But I persevered, mainly because I realized that the style was so easy to color (no shading and few colors! )

Anyway, further proof that you youngsters had it good. This was quality animated TV when I was a kid But hey, the voice of Puff was Burgess Meredith . . . you know . . . The Penguin from the 60's Batman show
