Description
And . . . here is the squirrel infested, walnut tree lined bike path going toward the bike overpass. I love this stretch of the Davis Bike Loop. Keep in mind . . . no cars are allowed on that pavement . . . strictly bikes, pedestrians, roller blades etc. It's deserted because only people as crazy as me go out in 106 degree weather to take pictures and bike around
This was actually once a long driveway into a ranch house. The ranch became a housing development, and the ranch house got converted into a science center . . . but the city kept the driveway and the old trees

Wow this is gorgeous.... why isn't there pretty things like this where I live?
Common sense: Cause you live in a dirty, gross city near a college.
Oh yeah...

Well . . . I live in a city near a college . . . it's just a liiiiitle different from most cities (if you can even call it a "city", it's more like a small town ) Davis likes to keep things purdy

I wish they kept things purdy here ;_; I don't think the city or college bothers cause GM pracitically owns the town and they don't care if it's gross or not.

Yeah . . . the people in charge have to care . . .
Here every developer is required to "give up" part of their property to make parks/greenbelt areas(those are the areas where the bike trails are separate from the roads) It's crazy, but you can't argue with the results.
