I like the contrast of the alignments. Makes it feel a bit "playful" because of that.

Well framed..it has a quite smooth outcome. My opinion, you should crop (narrower) more from the sides all the way to the poles

yeah I wasn't happy with that either. Finally figured out that if I used a Pincussion filter in PSP12 I could straighten them out. I tried cropping them all the way to the polls but it didn't work cause the shapes at the top looked weird.
How does it look now that I've straightened it? And thanks for the feedback
