'Princess Star Butterfly and I are cousins, Kairi. We used to be very close when we were young happy-go-lucky girls along with Flora and were inseparable, especially when it came to us getting into trouble. You see, my mother Queen Luna and hers, the current ruling matriarch of Mewni; Queen Moon Butterfly the Undaunted are sisters so we grew up together. But as our preteens year came along with Flora and I were ready to go to Alfea, we three took very different paths though I'm not saying that we not had some good times during those years, it's just that Star is an ultimate force of nature, and by that, I mean that's she's reckless, irresponsible and a complete ditz who never listens to anyone, especially me and Auntie Moon which proves to be a big disappointment.'- Stella

Yes, In the WitW and the remake of Adora and Princess Star, Stella and Star are pretty much cousins who used to be close since childhood but became two polar opposites when they grew to their teen years. But no matter how much the two blonde princesses have fallen out, they still love each other. I can't wait to see how much Stella and Star's cousin relationship will blossom and get turned upside down most of the times.
