The symbols for my RWBY OC's, as well as symbols designed for my friends, commissions, and symbols of Red vs Blue characters.From top left the teams are:
SEWN | APCS [Apocalypse] (The team Leader Alexander belongs to my brother) | GNRL [General] | LBRA [Libra] (belongs to my friend) | ALTN [Alternate] | PTFM [Platform] | GDAE (Belongs to my friend inSYNCinSANITY ) | WDMN [Woodsman] | TRGC [Tragic] | WLFS [Wolves]
The bottom row are characters not parts of teams, or they belong to friends and commissioned works where I don't know the team.
From the left they are:

Wow, you are pretty good at this! I've been trying to make some RWBY emblems for my FCs but it always turns out bad. How are you making those so good?

I kinda cheat.
I get an idea or a rough one, then go on google and find clip arts of the object or objects I want. Throw them in Paint.Net (the better version of paint but not quite Photoshop if you haven't heard of it). Frankenstein them together then ensure that there are clear borders between everything so when I colour it, it doesn't look like a mess.
That's how I do it. Try giving it a crack.
