Based on: A stag beetle, Transformer, Gundam, mecha, ANY large robot media, and a fighter jet.

EDIT(10/23/17): Added Armored Forme!
Designing this was a lot more of a hassle than I thought back then. I wanted to make the transformation feel seamless (like Staeger), but it always looked awkward in the drafts I drew up. As such for the final version, I decided to just scrap that thought process entirely and turn it into an X-Fighter Arwing mish-mash. If it works it works! Don't question it.

Metamorph also protects Beetallion now when transforming! But like Protect, it may fail if used in succession! It's up to you to predict when the right time is to transform!

It's been awhile, eh? About roughly 3 months since my last Fakemon, Trainer NPCs aside. That's waaaaay too long of a break from this community, I feel. We're on the homestretch for my region as well, so let's make it to the end, shall we? This has been going on for quite a few years now anyways, and I intend to finish what I started.

Beettalion originates from the same false rumor Staeger originated from prior to X/Y's release. Here's the original description for it.

Beettallion (Armored Mode). It's a Steel/Flying-type "Metamorphic" Pokemon, a larger metallic stag beetle with little turrets on its back, once more it looks a lot like a futuristic "spaceship" with "Shell Armor" as an Ability. It has strong defenses, but loses some of its Speed and Attack. It learns a Bug-type move known as "Metamorph", which allows it to Mode Change into Strike Mode, which is Bug/Flying and has a more humanoid, mecha beetle look who wields its horns like swords. Furthermore, Strike Mode lowers it defenses, but regains its Attack and Speed as well as regaining Air Strike as an Ability. It cannot change back after using Metamorph. It is described as being a natural Pokemon that evolved a method of transforming its body in order to keep up continuously evolving prey, and thus can adjust to changes in battles.

I'm obviously not going with a super exact interpretation of its original description, but I am keeping most of what it was intact. With it evolving, it now has a more metallic coloration in contrast to its previous copper color. In addition, Beettalion gains the Steel-typing on both of its forms. Beettalion's Armored Forme is not finished yet, as I can't quite nail its design down. I will update this deviation later once I figure out how it will look.

To recap from Staeger's description, Beettalion's main niche is its ability to transform through its signature move, Metamorph. Its Strike Forme sports higher offensive stats and lower defenses while its Armored Forme has the opposite. In this case, you have two dual types to keep track of: Bug/Steel for its offensive form, and Steel/Flying for the other. Beettalion will always start out in its Strike Forme upon being sent out, so time it wisely so it can get into battle safely! With high attack power and speed, you should be able to anihilate most of its foes with its STAB moves and aerial coverage. X-Scissor, Shift Gear, and Steel Wing are some notable moves to take into account. Its signature move, Air Strike, however can be devastating to any airborne targets. Regardless of their typing, if they're in the air, they're getting shot down with a 100% crit! Combine that with either of its abilities and you're guarantee to deal some serious damage! Despite Beettalion's amazing offensive prowess, it can't handle most threats upon being sent out. Either you switch and run with say, U-Turn, or you stay in and transform into Armored Forme! Tank hits with a more defensive frame, build up some power if you desire with Shift Gear, then transform back when you feel its safe! In a battle with Beettalion, there's more than meets the eye!
