Shit, I'm kinda late.
The final Smash Direct has come, and out with it the last fighters for the roster. I admit, I am slightly disappointed none of my picks were chosen for the ballot among other gripes (I mean... another FE rep?), but at the same time I'm glad the final characters look fun as hell to play with. Bayonetta especially was an unexpected surprise, no doubt. For those who were hoping for her inclusion, congratulations! For those who were expecting someone else... well, too bad I guess.
Overall, even if he's made some oddball decisions here and there, Sakurai and his team have my thanks for making one of my all-time favorite fighting games and continuing to work on it for a year after its release. Truly, thank you very much, Mashed Potato Samurai.
Does this mean no more Smash comics? Lol no, what made you think that? Expect more to come in the future! Until then, keep smashing it up!
Kinda a minor thing, but I also finally straightened out my comic panels' boxes. Messed with me a lot regarding placement when making them, so now felt like a good time to update them.

I'm fully on board with Bayonetta, but I'm pretty annoyed at Corrin. It's not that FE is a bad franchise, it's just that the amount of characters in Smash rivals Mario. Plus, not many people know about Corrin since the game he appears in isn't huge in America or other countries. So it feels like it was mainly Nintendo's choice which wasn't really the intention for the Smash Ballot.
Eh. I guess it's just wasted potential.

I'm more than happy to have Mewtwo, Lucas, Roy and Ryu in the game...
As for Cloud... it's cool he's in but I'm not the biggest Final Fantasy fan and not planning on buying him.
Corrin, however... Nintendo... WHY? They had a golden opportunity to bring back Wolf to hype for Star Fox Zero! But, no! Let's throw in another Fire Emblem character who's nearly just like Robin! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?! So... nope. Not getting Corrin either.
Finally... Bayonetta... I was blown out of my mind when I saw her reveal trailer. She looks amazing and fun to learn to use, but... I don't think I'll buy her either. Go ahead, everyone. Crucify me. I'm not saying it's a bad idea she's in the game.
She was more than worthy to be in and it was a great way for Sakurai to end the finale of Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS. So, there you go. My opinions on the last three newcomers for Smash 4.

Fire Emblem is pretty big in Japan now compared to Star Fox, they can't be thinking just of North America and Europe, they had to think of their fans in Japan too ( hence why that might be the reason Cloud was added too). So that's why I'm actually planning on buying Corrin, he's not a clone and actually looks pretty cool to use.
I know that FE: Awakening was one of the best selling games here for the 3DS, heck the price still hasn't been lowered.Β

While I didn't think we needed more fire emblem either, at least there looks to be some variation in Corrin's moves so that he isn't just swordwielder number whatever. I'm actually quite excited about Bayonetta, I haven't even played her games but they look like a lot of fun, and just the sheer shock value of the inclusion is a lot of what made some of brawl's and IV's earlier reveals so enjoyable. I'm fairly satisfied with this all in all, though I wish I knew what the full ballot looked like in the end.

Well you see the place that Cloud was sneaking into was a rich douchebag criminal who is also a pervert named Don Corneo. So Cloud dresses up all pretty so he can save his longtime friend Tifa from the clutches of Corneo. Corneo is picking which one of the girls to be his bride and if you get Cloud pretty enough Corneo will choose Cloud.
