Because Masahiro Sakurai himself has never defined Kirby or Meta Knight with a gender, and even in manga and anime in VO they use neutral pronon to designate them ?Β While the French and English say that Kirby is a boy, you'd be surprised to hear that german and italians say it's a girl. While in Japan their gender is neutral.Β It's just a question of translation. In your country, the masculine pronoun takes precedence over the feminine. That simple.
