I have always wanted to do this. To draw a little tribute to the three fandoms I've been in and supported the most and the ones that mean the most to me.

Let's start from the beginning.

Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic the Hedgehog (and 2) were my very first games on the SEGA. My first fandom and series I truly loved and drew. I was around 4, maybe younger or older around then. Yet still the blue hedgehog stays with me. I play his games, I still buy toys of him, I still watch his shows and I still draw him. The characters are so original I've grown up watching their changes. I love the fandom, the various pairings, and if it wasn't for Sonic... I doubt I would play the games I do now and have something to enjoy as much as I do now.

Pokemon

Pokemon came into my life when I was 7. That's 8 years ago for those having trouble. I'd seen the first episode on TV and thought 'that's intersting'. A boy in my class helped me out with the times it was on and stuff I started to watch it and get into it. Of course that meant I got my first hand held video game... Pokemon red version. Soon, along with my male best friend, I got the complete pokedex and fell in love. I've never not bought a Pokemon game when it came out. I have at least one version of the series released (like Silver and Gold) and I bought new consoles to fule my love for it. I've collected plushies and cards and the movies and am just simply a Pokemon fanatic from the very time I saw Ash save Pikachu. Most of all, without Pokemon, I would have never got into anime... and without anime, I wouldn't be doing what I do now.

Beyblade - TysonxKai

Heh... here's one I never liked straight off. In fact I only saw bits and pieces (it was on just before DBZ) and thought it was dumb. Until one day I just could not be bothered to be bored and wait for DBZ to come on, I sat down and watched the episode for once. I was 11 and it was the latest craze at school, all the boys were buying beyblades and pretending to be Tyson or Ray or Kai, etc. It intrigued me, I watched the entire series for a year and slowly picked up on the two obvious pairings made known. One of course was ReiMao, which I was happy to accept, yet it didn't have that something to make me love it above everything I'd supported before. After seeing the various TyKa scenes, I got online and found some fiction to read. The only TyKa fic there at the time was 'Blanket' which I do believe is the first english fanfiction to be published online. Soon, as V-Force and repeats of the frirst series were shown for the next two years, I found myself finding here, dA and ff.net. When I was 12, I joined ff.net and joined here at 13. I started to draw more slightly more amibition, fuled by the Beyblade art styles. Without Beyblade and my internet discovery, I would not be here. I wouldn't be online and none of you would know me.

And of course... KaiTakao, my OTP, that pairing that had one of the most beautiful and well done relationships I have ever seen. It was so unique and so well done in terms of how it developed, the characters and the fact it's a guyxguy pairing and not something easier like het. I will have you know I have never loved another yaoi anything close to TyKa. When Takao Aoki confirmed it was an official pairing, and they have mutual feelings for one another, I was overjoyed. To have it recognised by its creator is wonderful. Whether just friend or lovers, they have the most beautiful, most deep relationship I have ever seen. And it's this that fuels my writing. And what keeps me loving it for four years and more.

Beyblade ended officially almost three years ago, but it'll be a long, long time before I let it die. Much like Sonic the Hedgehog and Pokemon, even though their fandoms keep going.

I will never forget any of them.
