I finished this this morning!
Well, first of all, let me explain what it represents! The dacian believed that once a man symbolical kills a snake, he kills his destiny, for the snake was that symbol and he would then become the wolf and so the master of its own destiny!This young warrrior is going to his first battle and he is clothed in a wolf's skin, meaning that he has become a man. This is why the dacian flag is a wolf with the body of a snake!
I am not very pleased about how it turned out, especially the sky kinda sucks, but maybe I will redo it one day!
Done in acrylics on semihammer paper!

Don't worry about how turned out. Most of my work needs to be redone but I have been a bit lazy lately to do that. It still looks awesome and will look even better when redone. Keep up the good work

Hmm, da asa e! De fapt, lupul alb era ghidul spiritual al dacului! Insa ei aveau o legatura spirituala foarte puternica cu lupul in general si pe meleagurile noastre, lupul sur se intalneste cel mai mult!

Arata mai mult a panza decat hartie

Da, e hartie din aia ciudata...semiciocan!LOL! Apropo de panza, bine ca mi-am adus aminte sa te intreb. Vreau sa-mi iau si eu si tanti aia de la magazin mi-a spus ca trebuie sa-mi iau panza preparata ca daca imi iau simpla si nu o prepar imi absoarbe multa vopsea. Cat de multa???

Eu am lucrat doar o singura data pe panza si inca pe o dimensiune destul de mica. De aia am lucrat cu acuarele pe ea, pentru ca pensulele alea subtiri si bune nu le bag in uleiuri, ca prea se strica cand le bag in apa cu detergent/ apa fierbinte la spalat. Acuma depinde .. in ulei vrei sa pictezi pe panza sau in ce?

Da, trebuie sa o dai cu ceva solutie,asa zicea tanti aia, acum nu stiu cum se numeste! Cu acrilice vreau sa pictez! Si nu vreau sa-mi absoarba mai multa vopsea decat trebuie!

Hihi, nu ma complic eu cu asa ceva, cel putin deocamdata,desi mi-ar placea intr-o zi sa-mi prepar singura tot. Pai, initial vroiam sa-mi iau panza de la ceva magazin de materiale, dar la magazinul de arta panza nepreparata e la acelasi pret. Asa ca imi iau din aia preparata pana la urma, ca tot aia e!

N-am lucrat niciodata cu uleiuri, as vrea sa incerc odata! Cum se lucreaza cu ele, se pune direct vopseaua pe panza, nu?Nu diluezi cu ceva?

Le diluezi cu ulei de in, asta inloc de apa. Se usuca greu (in aproximativ 3-6 zile) , se spala mai greu (pensulele) si puteee
