o.o ....Whoa.... -Shakes my head, stupefied- If you were aiming to blow the minds of people with this piece, then you can consider me mindblown; when I saw this in my inbox as a thumbnail, I already perceived it to be pretty epic, but then to see it in its finest details and splendour up close.... I swear by it, you always seem to be improving, in more ways than one! This is, arguably, one of your best pieces yet! Everything in the image is positioned and angled nicely to parallel the dynamics of the fiery, practically volcanic composition of this visually alive piece, with the hues highlighted and shaded in perfect synchronization to the atmosphere, from the engulfing darkness to the infernal flames and divine lights that illuminate the ambiance in a way that gives this depth, might, intensity, and, as titular to the title, bearing an aura of raw, primal power. The pillar of bale-fire, coalesced with the ethereal spore of light erupting from Toph's chest with a beautifully angled and empowered lens flare to match, and the brilliant glow of Toph's eyes accompanied by her snarl, all contribute to such a dynamic, majestic, explosive feel about the ascension taking place, here, and the details, I daresay, are eye-catching. The fire poses gorgeous, fluent motion to give the flames an impression of spewing at high velocity with the force of battering rams by the dozens, and the stripes sport such vibrancy in a way that really seems to light the character up, albeit not to the point that the shade is overpoweringly uncomfortable to the eye, as though they could be corresponding to the magics of the phenomenon, and the anatomy of your character here.... Wow, your improvement is exponential! The hind leg at the far back, in particular, shows promise in a manner that may continue to influence future pieces. Overall, wonderful colours, a breathtaking concept of the ascension's process, which captures the raw, primal energies of the moment flawlessly!

I have a feeling that this piece has a fighting chance in the contest, but even if it doesn't win, this did, does, and always will, have my vote. It's just so.... so.... beautiful!! ;___;

pretty damn awesome hun your getting better with anatomy as well as fire effects. :3 very well done indeed, though i think you could have made the hatchling look more "baby" like in some ways it slightly looks like a small adult to me though i know its supposed to be a hatchling. it just looks older then it should. (why must baby anything be hard to draw D
