Aw, thank you!! And don't worry... I cried, and then got depressed for a day or two. At least they made me feel a bit better for Rose and the Doctor later on in the story. But then I was crying and depressed over Donna. >.< Oh they know how to yank my heart strings!

Oh Matt Smith is adorable! You just can't help but love him XD

Well if you don't mind spoilers (which those reading this comment...

SPOILERS! ^_~

I can't remember the episode title, I think it was either Doomsday or Army of Ghosts (it was a two parter) anyway, They (meaning Torchwood) were messing around with portals and basically punched a hole in the universe and let the Cybermen through. Daleks also invaded about this time and there was a whole mess of Cybermen and Daleks running amok, the only thing the Doctor could do was use the portal and trap them in the void. But Rose almost got sucked in too. Her father (from the other universe) saved her and zapped her over to his side of the dimensions... so she's trapped in a parallel universe, alive and well with her family and Mickey, but not with the Doctor.

Course I assume you've seen how she's been dimension jumping in order to find the Doctor. The little hints and flashes of her on screens all the time while Donna is there.

So that's what happened to Rose, there's more detail... some really touching moments... but that's way too many details LOL

I thought he did have a wife at one point... I know he had children and grandchildren... but I'm a bit fuzzy on the wife. Wasn't Romana his wife for a bit before something horrible happened to her >.O I'm really not sure since I've only just started on the Fourth Doctor. But I thought I read that somewhere... (I suppose it could have been a fan fic or something.)

Anyway I think you're right though... I think it would screw up the feel of the show.

Oh yes, I saw THAT episode(so sad!); what puzzled me was all the bits about her dimension-jumping. I guess they haven't explained that?

Honestly, with there being 11 Doctors, I'm a little surprised anyone can keep track of all the details. XD Let me know if you find anything really interesting in the old Doctors! How far back does this show go, anyway? I can't imagine it ever having been black and white, but it sure does seem to have been around for quite a while!

Exactly. TV show characters never get any breaks, 'cause their lives are dictated by the demands of the audience. ...It must kind of stink to be a TV character.

I think they tried to explain the dimension-jumps. The technology was better in the dimension that Rose's father was in... but the Doctor always said that doing jumps like that could cause cracks and eventually shatter the barriers and destroy the universe. (it is always something horrible ) So Rose jumping like that was a risk, a very huge risk. But she was seeing the planets disapear if I recall... and knew she had to find him.

Actually the first Doctor was in black and white. I never watched back that far I know he was traveling with his granddaughter in that one, but that's all I know. I started with the Fourth because I was told that was when he got a bit of a sense of humor. Totally watch the Doctor Who called the Pyramids of Mars where the fourth has to face Sutekh the Destroyer. Also the Pirate Planet was pretty good as well.

LOL yes, I think it must. Just look at Worf on Star Trek TNG... every time he got married his new wife kicks the bucket. T.T

I see. Did they ever actually explain what she was doing? She didn't ACTUALLY die in the end, did she? That would stink. I wonder how she knew that they were also disappearing in the Doctor's universe? Since she was in an altenate universe that was different and stuff. Probably just figured it'd be safer to assume.

That doesn't really surprise me; TV isn't THAT old, and we are on the TWELTH Doctor already. Dang, I don't know if I even want to try and catch up on these; that must be, like, 30 seasons of shows. XD

B'Awww! Sadness! I actually have never seen the episodes where he has a wife, although I know he has a son. The son was sweet. ^^

oh wow! I'm going to have to go look them up, I would love to see what they did! I sometimes wish that there could be some way for Matt Smith's Doctor to come in contact with human Doctor and Rose... just long enough for us to see what happened. XD

that would be pretty awesome! i wonder how he'd really feel about it those because remember in series 6 when he was dying and the computer kept showing images that made him feel "guilty", so i'm just curious of the awkward level of that encounter. that just proves he's still carrying them with him however any previous companions have been left by the wayside. XD
