Let's introduce a little project of mine here. A little project I'm calling Project Weyr.

I love RPing Dragonriders of Pern, but it seems that whenever I find a site I like they start to trickle out of existance. Needless to say I'm a little tired of putting all the work into the relationships and the characters only to have it die just as things are starting to get fun. I figure I must not be the only one with this problem out there, right? I've come upon more than my fair share of Weyrs that have ceased to be, their members still hanging around in hopes that life might breathe back into the place if they just hold on a little longer.

So I say no more! I'm starting my own DRoP Weyr RP, A Weyr created by the members, for the members. It will be a place where everyone has some kind of say in how things are run. How canon will it be? How canon do the MEMBERS think it should be! I have tons of ideas for how this could work to make it a place people will want to stay.
It will be MORE than a Weyr, it will be a community, a place where we come together as fans of Anne McCaffrey's fantastic world. But before I can do all of that, I need to know that other people are interested.

So please, if you want to be a part of this, a part of my little Weyr, send me a PM. Let me know you want to help me out. Even if you've never read Dragonriders of Pern, if you're interested, don't be afraid! I am more than willing to help you understand how it works. I promise it'll be a place you'll be sure to enjoy.

All that aside, I totally love the way this picture came out. For once I drew a Pernese dragon and I think it actually LOOKS like one. WOO!
