"What're you reading?" Garrus mumbled sleepily into Hael's shoulder.
"The Hobbit," she whispered in reply. "It's an old human novel about twelve dwarves, a wizard and a hobbit trying to take back the dwarves' home from a dragon."
"Mm..." He snuggled deeper into the chair. "Read it to me..."
Shepard chuckled and turned to the first page. "'In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit..."

This is what I do instead of working on comics or answering notes, comments, replies... Going through that stack of 900+ deviations... Yeah. I DRAW ME SOME SHAKARIAN FLUFF! And spam the repeat button on Anna Nalick's song Forever Love (Digame), hence the title. It's super cute and mellow and-just listen to it: [link] It's great mood music.

So I found the 30 Day OTP challenge on tumblr one day [link] and went "OH HAY. I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TO WORK ON ALREADY LET'S HAVE SOME FUN" so I kinda started doing it. I also figured it would be a great way to practice more of what I've learned outside of comics. This is technically day 2 because day 1 is only half sketched but whatevers >.> I'll post them eventually.

BUT SHEPARD IN GARRUS'S SHIRT ADSFDHSAJDJAFHLSHFLKHAFHF

My main thing was shading in this one. Since I seemed to have forgotten how to use a soft brush, I went with old school flat cell shading to start. Which ended up working really well with the single bright light source, but it clashes a bit with the soft moons in the background. It's all a journey of learning

I'm just glad I finally found a decent color to shade Hael's skin with. IT'S LIKE THE HARDEST THING EVER!!

And I found an awesome fan art piece that helped me more than a bit with Garrus's plates and everything. I'm going to take a more simplistic approach next time >.>

I seem to be having issues with feet and their appropriate size.... I don't want to make them too small so I make them too big and ARGH. Apparently this is the thing in this period of my artistic development that I just can't get right.

I'll stop blabbing now. ENJOY THE FLUFFS! I'm going to go try and draw combat scenes....
