Crona looked unhappily at his bike. To catch the shadow racer they had rode far into the game, too far to walk back and get home before nightfall. There was only one suitable option. Crona pondered over this thought for a few moments before sighing. He knew Lilly wasn`t going to like it, She would have to go back in Digi`s kart. It was far to dangerous for her to ride on his bike! ”Hey Didg?” Crona asked “Would you mind taking Lilly back in your kart?” Lilly looked at him with shock and slight anger, she griped tightly onto his jacket and refused to let go. “I guess so” Digi Replied “But she`ll have to go with Tekz, I ain`t got space in the front seat”. This seemed to settle Lilly a bit, She may of hated Digi for reasons he couldn`t understand. But Tekz was like her very own warm blanket! She loosened her grip and slid down back to the ground where she jumped onto Tekz and hugged her. Tekz marks glowed with affection. Crona picked up his helmet and jumped onto his bike, glancing over and smiling at Lilly. Tekz pounced into the back of Digi`s kart making sure not to harm her passenger. She curled up around Lilly and lazily closed her eyes. Digi climbed into his kart after his pet and looked over at Crona as he started the engine.Crona placed his helmet over his head slotting his goggle into place and drove off back home. Digi raced after him eventually catching up and driving casually beside him.It was a while before either of them spoke. They left the gates of Heroes Duty and entered Sugar Rush. As they entered Cronas voice came over the intercom. It was curious but also presented worry, “So…How did you know who that guy was?”.

Digi sighed and then gave a lengthy reply, “He`s what we heroes called a Shadow racer, Everyone just think shadow racers as a NPC to fill in unused racer spaces, But their wrong; I know so. Shadow racers are actual racers who never made the cut. Never got a design, bio or anything other than a name! Its upsetting really, Since I can sorta relate, If it wasn`t for me getting a designer I could`ve ended up as one of them! But what I don`t get is how could a shadow racer be here! Their codes act like how Vanellope`s used to, No escape from the game… They weren`t evacuated, They were left to die… Like I was” Tears began to form as Digi continued explaining. “During my last moments before I saved myself to your device,I saw all the shadow racers getting torn apart. It was horrific, I still have that image printed in the back of my mind… All the screams of pain, Terror and anger for the original racers rings in my ears when ever that image comes to mind! I wish I could just forget it!” Digi`s voice was now flowing with sadness but he didn`t cry, He just wiped the tears from his eyes with one claw. And that was all he said for the rest of the journey to the castle. Crona was afraid to ask any more questions, The subject was obviously already a sensitive one. At last the two reached the castle, Vanellope was waiting out front and jumped with joy when she saw everyone was ok! As they stopped Vanellope ran to Digi`s kart and picked Lilly up in her arms. “Mama!” Lilly happily chimed as she hugged Vanellope tightly. Crona walked over to his girl and she pulled him to her side. “So what happened?” Vanellope asked intrigued. Crona looked back for Digi but the Digital-Hero had already whizzed off. Crona frowned with fear he may of badly upset Digi, He clicked with his tongue. “Well…”Crona began to explain to her as they walked inside.
