Digi kicked the chocolate dust into the air as he shuffled his feet in a usual mope. He had no reason to be in sugar Rush today since no race had been planned but something in his gut just told him to come. He stopped and looked to his right for a moment. He admired the view of the candy-coated landscape and the wafer castle standing tall in the distance. He sighed, this location was perfect for a date but… unfortunate events had current left him worse off. And with that he continued to walk along the empty road. It was strange that any of the roads were empty especially on a day off like today; it just must be a lazy day Digi thought to himself. Passing the boarder of the forest; he began to get the strange sensation of being watched but it didn`t faze him. He could hear the sound of branches creaking following him; it was only a matter of time until… He stopped and so did the noise. Digi titled his head to look slightly back, “Double stripe!” He warned followed by a light bleeping and whooshing noise as a branch disappeared. It was apparent someone was following him, they hadn`t even tried to hide themselves! Digi turned and smiled as Vanellope swung from branch to branch, evading every other double stripe she could. Showing off her acrobatic form she finished with a back flip into a proper stance; a triumphant, “Ta da~” and a wide grin to complement it. Digi clapped and looked around, “So there’s the princess. Where’s the knight?” Vanellope shook her head, “Not today Didg, He`s planning for the event tonight”. Digi picked up his head and sternly looked at Vanellope with confusion. This was the first time he had heard of any event. Vanellope frowned, “No-one told ya did they….”.She felt slightly awkward as anyone would in her shoes. Digi confirmed her answer with a sad shake of his head. Feeling that she was upsetting Digi, Vanellope quickly turned her frown upside down and gleamed another grin as she explained, “Well It’s a rare event but tonight there is going to be a meteor shower…” Digi interrupted rudely,”So? We have meteor showers in Dilly-Da`s track all the time”. Vanellope sighed and shook her head, squeezing the skin between her eyes at the hero’s impatience, “Yes well… This is a special event meteor shower. Im really surprised this is the first time you’re hearing about it! It’s been the talk of Sugar Rush for weeks now!”Digi looked back down at his feet for a moment and took a breath, “I haven`t been racing in a long time, Vans…I don`t really know if I fully can an` all…. But still I don`t see what’s so important about some crummy Meteor shower!” He was obviously not getting it But luckily enough, Vanellope had a plan, “Meet me later at the castle, I`ll tell you about it. Just don`t go right there now, I gotta find something first; Maybe in half an hour or so” She gave him a wink and waved as she bolted off back into the forest. Digi `tsk`ed,” I know she’s the president and all… But what a weird kid”, He shrugged it off and went back to sightseeing.
