Caleb always dreamed of reaching the clouds but was born, how to say... different from the other Pegasus. He had a deficiency in his wings that rendered him unable to use them for flight, instead he would end up dragging them beside him; getting dirty and trampled on as he walked around. Caleb`s family lived on the outskirts of the main town so the only time Caleb really saw many ponies his age was during school.

In school Caleb was usually quiet, neglecting any interaction from others and often isolating himself in his own little world. At lunch breaks Caleb could never be found; during this time he would hide away and revise robotics or day dream of his ultimate goal. The school had never had such high grades on a passing student, However all group based-lessons he lacked ability in;so was given a lesser grade

In his spare time, Caleb would often lock himself away and do his usual Dream`n`Designing. He would invent little robotic devices to benefit his family in the future, which his parents were happy for... They just wished he would interact with others. He never did; even on arranged playdates he would hide away.

As soon as he could Caleb moved out of his families home and brought a house even further out; away from any landmark and more importantly, anyone!

At the first opportunity he got he applied for his first job A taxi balloonist which was all well until he found out he would have to interact with other ponies. His past solitude had left him paranoid of others so while Taxi-ing other ponies he would stay muted and avoid eye contact. This lead to a bad track record but the worse was to come. On one ride, a nervous foal nudged him to get attention. Freaking out with paranoia, Caleb crashed the balloon. Luckily no-one was hurt but Caleb was quick to resign after and left pulling his wings behind him.

For the next few years Caleb disappeared off the radar. In this time he was heavily busy constructing in the comfort of his home. He wouldn`t get many visitors but he ignored those who did, except his parents. Over these years, using his isolation to his advantage, he furthered his mechanical knowledge. Learning how to manipulate technology and craft armour for himself through robotics. Only one thing kept him going, His burning passion to fly.

Caleb finally made a return to the town after his absence, almost forgotten by everyone who almost didn`t recognize him; Sporting a new mechanical pack on his back that bolted up his wings which now folded beside him. The biggest surprise was his cutie mark that now appeared on him. Represented as a gear, his mark stood for the technologic progress he had made to make his dream come true. With his new backpack he enabled himself to finally fly, able blast around the skies at hyper-sonic speeds.

He had designed his equipment over the past years and was proud to show it off. The metal casing holds up his wings and makes movement easier, using small boosters to let him hover while his saddle pack can open to reveal arm-appendages (Like the Clemontic gear[Pokemon]).

He also wears the goggels from his first job and a pendant received from his parents as a gift from when he was a foal. It was a gift bestowed to him to remind him that even with a disability he is still a gem on the planet.

He was still slightly anxious of others but after meeting Franike and AppleJack ( ) he felt a little more open hearted and bravely applied for a job at a factory which he managed to get and succeed in, using his extra hands to benefit his multitasking needs.

Recently Caleb has started to become more sociable and has even applied to be a knight, Inspired by a character he read about in a book who went from a "different" chibi to a royal protector.

If Discord ever takes over Caleb`s mind he becomes very obnoxious, loud and disruptive; often acting out of turn and rude towards others.
