Description
Based on Bonestell's original design. George Pal had the design modified a bit for 'The Wheel' in his 1955 movie 'Conquest of Space'. The movie was a bit hokie but used beautiful models.This was my first classic space station mesh which I then modified for 'The Wheel' in the previous renders.

BTW I'm posting these images,in Memory of Günter F. Wendt (August 28, 1923 – May 3, 2010)
Günter F. Wendt was the pad controller at Cape Canaveral. On the pad it was him and then God, and his orders were followed without question. He was the last man many astronauts saw before their hatches were shut. You may remember in 'Apollo 13' Tom hanks asking,'I vonder vere Günter Vendt?'
Rest in Peace Günter.
