Description The USS Defiant journeys toward her next mission.

I've been experimenting with warp speed effects, having never being a fan of some of the movie and TNG style effects, trying to get an effect of nearby stars passing by while the more distant ones seem unaffected.

Its perfect as it is, and makes a fabulous picture - a lone ship traversing the stars - bliss.

Looking good my friend, I made a stretched model of a star cluster for doing warp effects. By rendering at various depths within the stretched volume os stars seems to show different rates of motion. Can email the mesh if you like.

It'd be neat to give it a try.
I'll send you a note with my email.
