Filaris grabs the wooper and raises him out of the water, grabbing the bag.
"A water-proof bag? Odd thing to have..." he says while examining the satchel. Filaris then puts down the wooper and opens the bag to reveal that several papers are present within the bag, covered in a protective bubble.
"Clever little sneak, using bubble to preserve the papers." As Filaris mulls over the papers, he takes a deep breath and sighs.
"Alright you, I'm taking you to the survivalis-" but before he could finish, he looks down to see the wooper is gone. Filaris' face sours as he think how stupid it was to let such a weak pokemon get away. Guess it can't be helped. He closes the bag and heads off to Devdas' house on the center of town. The walk to Devdas' was peaceful, the sun was beginning to set over the horizon, the water glistening in the warm light of the ending day. The water pokemon were also enjoying the lights final hours as they danced in the orange hued water. It was very tranquil, a perfect ending to a very easy mission.
As Filaris came to the door of Devdas' house, he heard something from inside.
"No no no! Over there! Stay still!"
An odd voice, to say the least, and very odd requests to boot. He knocked on the door anyways.
"Come in!" the voice screeched.
Filaris hesitantly opened the door and walked inside. There he saw an oddly colored Kecleon demanding around another odd pokemon that Filaris had never seen before.
"I'm here to de-" Filaris was cut off from his sentence by the kecleon demanding the other pokemon around again. After things calmed down a bit more, and the kecleon resumed, what appeared to be drawing, he began to speak.
"You're here about my research, correct?" the kecleon said, still keeping his sights on his clipboard.
"Yes.." Filaris said with a very confused tone.
"Then give me one moment. I need to finish this."
With that. Filaris decided to just wait around. He grabbed a seat on the other side of the room and watched the kecleon work. Time passes and Filaris had dosed off. The calm and quiet environment was enough to put any pokemon to sleep after such an interesting day.
"Alright! Thank you for the help!"
The noise sent a jolt through Filaris that caused him to wake up from his slumber with a crash.
"Alright! Sit over there." The kecleon demanded, picking up Filaris and pushing him to the seat.
"W-Wait! I'm not here to be-"
"Quiet! I need you to be absolutely still! I do have to say, you are a rather interesting specimen." the kecleon said while examining Filaris.
Filaris looked very uncomfortable by this whole thing, not to mention confused. He was only here to deliver to papers, not be a test subject.
Once again, hours passed for Filaris, to his ever lasting regret. Until it all finally stopped with a sudden 'FINISHED' from the strange kecleon. Filaris sighed in relief as the hours of waiting around were finally at a close. He picked up the bag that was sitting by the chair, and walked over to the kecleon.
"The original reason I came here was to deliver your papers." Filaris handed the kecleon the papers, a very angry scowl on his face from having to put up with all that none-sense.
"Oh! Oh I do apologize! I just got very carried away by you! You're rather unique for a breloom, so I got very excited."
"Whats so interesting about me?" Filaris said, rather confused by the notion.
"Oh, your mushroom, for one, and your structure is rather peculiar. I have to ask, what is your family line to give you such an odd structure?"
Filaris' face goes from annoyed to agitated and defensive.
"That isn't for you to know!" Filaris' body then began to let out small puffs of spores.
The kecleon backed up a bit, taken back by the immediate and negative response.
"I-I meant no harm in it! I just thought it would be-"
"I'm a normal breloom! Nothing more!"
There was a long pause between the two.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have lashed out. It's really nothing." Filaris said, facing away from the kecleon.
"I have to ask, you lost your memory, didn't you?"
Filaris was taken back by the comment. He turned his head to look at the kecleon, a shocked expression plastered on his face. The kecleon closed his eyes and went over to one of the books on his shelve and turned to a page.
"Amnesia: a condition where one looses part or all of their memory."
Filaris began to walk over to the kecleon, but a sharp voice echoed into his head,
Don'tcha be seekin' da mysteries beyond. Tis a darkness dat be shroudin' that 'mon.
Filaris then stopped in his tracks, looking down, questioning.
"I-I think I should go..." Filaris said, hastily walking to the door.
"If ever you need anything, please, feel free to come back. Oh, and what is your name?"
"Filaris. And I can assure you I'll be back."
