Really like this picture and REALLY like your idea for a Tails RPG based in the Sonic universe.
Hmm, clothing and bandaids as armor. Well we've seen bandanas and even bikinis listed as armor so why not? The stronger armours should be jackets or cloaks of sort. And coverting the weapon of RPG's into power rings, brilliant! Though Tails is a mechanical genious, so he should have some sort of weaponry, like a stun gun or sumthing. Plus there could be a lot of item components you can gather and combine in Tails home to make neat gadgets!

lol. Well it jsut ideas I came up with while writing down the coment lol. I would add amllot more to it if I actully was mkaing a game (if i can find a class that teaches me that stuff, that b epic). I'm not a big fan of guns hough so I'd at least avoid that. I was mustly thiking of him being forced to rely on his own abilities and not the help of his Tech. (though the tech. is what would help him get around in the world map).

Hmmm... Thats one way to put it. Meaby his tech could be used for puzzles and exploring, kinda like the gadget type equipment in the Ratchet&Clank series. Swing Shot for example.
OK, I'm drifting off again. Great art etc you know I could go on for hours since Imma Tails Freak.
This thought sort of crossed my mind: one person can't make a game, but fan projects can be born with a writer, coder, artist, animator and a few others maybe.

Yeah I know. I hard to ake a game on your own. At the moment though I'm busy with other stuff.. Like Requeat and Robo war. But I still draw Tails Style RPG stuff along the way.

It my idea for the next Tails game, which I think it's about time they gave poor Tails his own game. It my idea for Tails Adventure II, a RPG based game which I feel fits Tails character (Like Sonic games should focus on Speed, Tails games should focus on Adventure). IN the Story Sonic get Hognapped (Yes Sonic loses a fight. Not like it ever happened to any other hero lol), and thos his side-kick (which is Tails, but unless you played old 16-bit games not sure if yo knew that) has to feel in the role as the hero, and not only does he have to save his hero and best friend but the world as well.
It would basically be the coming of age game for Tails. Where He becomes his own kind of hero not just one that follows Sonic. Tails if forced to fight and at first his lack of Self Confidence (which his character always lacked) makes it hard for him to fight. However, as the game continues Tails starts to gain confidence and slowly starts to become a Great leader (which once again I see Tails being a great leader, he is the glue that bonds the Sonic team together, always keeping Sonic and Knuckles from goign at each other lol). So some of the gaem focus is watch Tails from eing that Young kid we know to become a great Hero like Sonic, not just one of the Sonic Heroes anymore.
For the Picture I was trying to show How I think the game should look. I was trying to go for the RPG feel, while still trying to keep what makes Sonic gmaes Sonic. Expamle the Checkpoint (from the old Sonic games) is the Saving progress of the game. IF you notice I also have to different Rings. I have standerd rings, which is basically the money of the game, and the power Rings (which is the Ring in the blue light). The power Rings are basically the weapons of the game (kinda like the sword in most RPGS), they make Tails stronger and sometimes have abilities like 25% chance of Lighting damage. The cape and the bandages is basicaslly the armor. IT incease's Tails defence and sometime give him special resistence, for expample 25% resisteence to Flame based attacks. The Choas Emerelds are what are needed to help Tails advance in the game. IN the picture it shows the Yellow one lights the whole cave, or he be going into the totally black cave. The cave is just to show some of the scope of what Tails well be in for for his adventure.
This is what I'd LOVE to see Sega do with Tails, not just make him a D*** cheerleader like they did in Sonic Rush. It has been 13 years since Poor Tails has had his own game, and even when he did they put it on the failure Gamegear which had already been crushed by the gameboy. So they need to make a Good 3-D game for Tails on the Wii. Which of coruse knowin Sega, we well not see it. Most likeley we well see Silver the Hedgehog before any Tails games.
XP So As a Tails fan I was just giving my idea on how a game for Tails could be done.

I am what is referred to politely as a Tails-Fanatic... more commonly called a Tails-NUT, so to me this picture and the story are pure ambrosia. Played the original Tails Adventure and have been yearning for another (No i don't count Sky Patrol). You are right, an RPG is much more suited to Tails's character than would be a platformer, and this is an excellent idea for a story (sidekick saving hero is not that far out there, even Peach got sent to save Mario and Luigi once). I'll definitely be looking for more of your work on this line if you do any.

Yes Tails Is pure Awsome. I love his character design and I really lik his golden Heart Personality. That why Ithink Tails has what it takes to even become a great Hero then SOnic one day.
I know Nintendo Knows how to show love to all there characters (execept for the being of the 64 days lol...they kinda left Luigi out for awhile) but once the gamecube hit Nintendo showed love to all there characters. Luigi's Manison was a game starting Luigi and he got to go save MArio. Your right PEACH out of all the character also got ot save Mario.
Sega jsut never wants to have Sonic be saved. They make it seem liek he the prefect Hero that makes no mistakes. They also leave there other characters in the dust while they focus so much on the Hedgehos now. Poor Tails and Knuckles have fallen greatly since the good old 16-bit days. They once were able to go super but have we seen them g osuper at all in 3-D? NO. Seg a really been missing up lately. I'm been hoping and hoping they make a come back...but once again from what I've heard Soinc Unleashed well only be SOinc playable. So once again Sega is leaving there other fans out.
That's why I just decided to have fun and try to come up with my own idea for games for Tails. He that uch of an Icon to gaming for me.

Sega even mentioned that they'd removed Hyper-Knuckles and Super-Tails from their canon, wanting to keep the whole Chaos thing in the realm of hedgehogs

Thats one reason I love Nintendo. They don't bury half there fans in the dust. They give a little out, even though they still focus on Mario more. The other charcaters still have there moment to shine. Well Seg a buries thier characters as each new game comes out.

I thik it gives him much more detail. In fact for my idea of Tails Adventreu to he have many different outfits. I was thinking of also haveing Goggles, but I'm not a big han of head gear besides Bandanas. Though if I did make Tails Adventure II I would inculde them, so once again you can change Tails up some.

That would be a good idea. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are pretty much blank slates in term of design. They should get accessories, just like in Riders. It would be nice to customize them. And if you collect the Chaos Emeralds, you can use them to go Super anytime you want. Just like the old days.

Yep. Once Tails Collects all the Emerelds he can go Super. Another ide aI had for Tails Adventure II is that there are some area's you can only reach once you go super. Since Tails flying ability does not go down while in his super for. For those who remember where to back track can get some good items. Like the Hero's Cape and Sonic Power Ring and lots of other stuff. The Sonic Power Ring is more for the Sonic fans, like in Paper Mario for the GAmecube, they have a badge that lest Mario look like Luigi. Basically the Sonic Power Ring is the same in a way, it give Tails Sonic personality (I'm not really a fan of that but it something to appeal to the Sonic fans). The Ring would boost Tails speed by like 100 and gmake Tails do the "your to Slow" and "Come on Step it up." I was also playing to have a Knuckles, Shadow Rings. No Girl rings though, XP Don't want Tails acting girly lol.

That's another good idea. Maybe Tails' fur color should change its tint a bit in conjunction with the ring, or he could look more like the character. He could get dreadlocks for no apparent reason with the Knuckles ring. Or he could wear red eye paint like Shadow. And then he could get overdramatic and say, "This is who I am" everytime he talks to someone. Lol.
And I agree, no girl rings. It would be disturbing to see him act like Rouge.

Actually I was thinkgi n more of the Amy with the girls Rings lol. XP Just picture Tails wearing the Amy ring. "Oh SOnic!" XD But any girl would be bad. Thats why no girl rings lol.

My idea for Tails Adventure II is Sonic is kiddnaped (My god it the end of the world lol). So Tails, his side kick must take Sonic Role and save him and the world. My idea for the game is to show as Tails goes form to being Sonic Side-kcik to his own kind of hero. Being a great leader, whic I see TAils becoming. He the glue that bonds th SOnic team together, or Sonic and Knuckles would be at each other lol.
So it the Story of Tails basically growing up and being a hero like Sonic.
