Transformers: Beast Wars – Revolution （トランスフォーマー・ビーストウォーズ・レボリューション Toransufōmā Bīsuto Wōzu Reboryūshon）is an anime series and a reboot of the original Beast Wars: Transformers cartoon from the 1990’s. This is set at the same continuity/universe as Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V: Shattered Soul .

Synopsis

In a universe where the Autobots and Decepticons never arrived at or interacted with Earth (as far as is known) during the Great War, the Maximals and Predacons have now taken over Cybertronian society, divided into the Democratic Maximal Republic and the Honorable Predacon Kingdom, both co-existing peacefully. Following the signing of the Pax Cybertronia, both Autobots and Decepticons went through the Great Upgrade, becoming Maximals and Predacons, respectively, gaining smaller and more energy-efficient bodies, and in the case of Decepticons, they were spliced with "Ancient Predacon" CNA to become Predacons themselves.
In the years that followed, science advancements became so common on Cybertron and the Cybertronian colonies that the next step was to improve space exploration, leading to the development of the Beast Machine technology, an offshoot of the Master (Headmaster, Targetmaster, Powermaster, Micromaster, and Action Master) and Pretender technologies for the creation of Techno-organic Beast Modes.
Peace between Maximals and Predacons has been prosperous for centuries, but not everything is perfect because a few bad seeds exist; from discrimination from a few bigoted Maximals towards Predacon "beasts," to enraged Predacons plotting to reclaim what's "rightfully theirs," making that peace somewhat unstable. All of this causes a rogue Predacon named Galavar to rebel against his "oppressors" and steal an ancient relic known as "The Golden Disk," which contains information about a planet rich in Energon known as Earth, which the High Cybertronian Council for unknown reasons strictly prohibits travel to. After stealing the disk, Galavar renamed himself Megatron in honor of the ancient Decepticon leader who once opposed the oppressive Functionist Cybertronian society, and after decoding the disk, he discovered very interesting information about Earth, including the source of those "Transwarp Phenomena" that have been happening for the past 20 Stellar Cycles (20 Earth Years to be exact) and hidden by the Council, as well as the possible location of the "Oracle Matrix," an ancient Cybertronian artifact of unknown origin that may hold the power he requires to finally start a new revolution on Cybertron in favor of the Predacons.
Meanwhile, Optimus Primal, a very optimistic Maximal, was about to take off with his new crew on his first day as commander of the space exploration ship, the "Axalon," when he received a call from the High Council, was commanded to pursue and capture the Predacon rebel Galavar (now Megatron), and was given permission to travel to whatever planet Megatron was going to. Because most Transwarp cruisers had been destroyed and the legendary Maximal warriors, Lio Convoy and Big Convoy, were occupied with important missions, Primal and his crew were the only ones capable of completing such a task.
Both the Axalon and the Darksyde arrived in Earth's orbit after a long chase through transwarp space, sparking a battle between the two ships that severely damaged them and caused them to crash into the planet's surface. Fortunately, the Maximals were able to launch the Stasis Pods containing Protoforms, which would eventually become new transformers, into Earth's atmosphere, where they safely landed. Both Maximals and Predacons discovered after the crash that Earth contains large amounts of Energon, but to the point where their systems would short-circuit after minutes of exposure, so both sides scanned the DNA of Earth's local creatures to create fitting Techno-organic Beast Modes that would filter out the excess Energon from their systems. What mysteries would both Maximals and Predacons discover on this new planet where there is more than meets the eye, as Megatron leads his crew to a Predacon "revolution," as an inexperienced Primal leads his new team on this unexpected mission to stop Megatron's plans? This and other questions will be answered as THE BEAST WARS rage on!
