the problem is, i keep finding old chars hidden away (they are mainly dragons XD) and then try and do a ref sheet for them...

Same here! I just went through my old drawings and found a ton of old characters. Then I discovered I still love them and want to recreate them

i know exactly what that's like! that's why i'm making those two pages of chibi versoins of all my chars. So i don't forget them and i have a record as well. and chibis are quick to draw

I don't like the plain white or one solid color background. I fail when it comes to backgrounds. That's my biggest issue with my refs XD

That's the issue i get with normal drawings! u could do something where the background is blue (for example) and then make it get lighter around any of the pics. Just for an idea. Or u can do random colours and glowing things in the background. or something...

i do a lot of my art in digital so i use colour all the time. what i hated (before i learnt about the doge/burn tool) was shadows. i only started them this year and am still trying to get used to them

I've never done anything digital. I want a tablet, but can't afford it right now. Shadows are tricky, especially with color. My biggest issue recently is making things looked textured, so i'm going back to graphite drawings for awhile. I missed doing them anyway XD

Different poses changes a character's marking position ever so slightly. I run into that kind of problem as well sometimes
