I'm a fan of Mahou Shoujo anime with a dark plot,Madoka Magica and Ikusei Keikaku was very good,and reccently I just finished watch Mahou Shoujo Site.It's not on the same level as these other anime of mahou shoujo because I liked the anime until the episode 8,the ending was very weak,but is fine.Well there is the trinity of the Mahou Shoujo:Madoka Kaname,Aya Asagiri and Snow White (Koyuki Himekawa).Base:Fate Kaleid Illya.

Magical Girl Raising Project was wasted potential. Zero Character Development, events that doesn't make sense, Extreme personalities. Mahou Shoujo Site also had extreme personalities and was so boring, I couldn't watch more than few episodes. I can't say anything for Madoka Magica. I haven't watched it.

PMMM is a masterpiece. Just try it. Even with 12 episodes, it still managed to tell a wonderfully complex story. Unlike MGRP and MSS, it's not edgy for the sake of being edgy. It had blood, psycho characters and all but it didn't solely focus on that. It focused mainly on playing with its themes in a way that is believable.
