Description Surrealism. A bit of inspiration from Dali and his elephants. But mostly the idea to do this just came to me one day at work, and I drew it out on the back of a Chinese food takeout menu...
I stretched the tall narrow canvas to emphasize the upward "growth" of the elephant. I made it in the winter time too to further emphasize how misplaced the elephant was and heighten the Surrealist aspects of it.

That's such a crazy painting. It's a bit scary and very surreal. I love how you made the legs into trunks of the tree. Also, great coloration.

Thanks! To tell you the truth it's not finished; My aunt wanted to buy it and I had only a few days left to work on it til I had to go to college, and I just never finished it. She couldn't really tell, though!

really? huh, I couldn't tell - I figured you meant for it to be exactly as it is you're lucky your relatives actually buy your stuff - my mum just asks *can I put this up in this room?* and I can never take the paintings down >_<
