Description
It's all well and good making little pixel icons - not needing to put too much detail or shading in because of how small the drawing is etc. But what about larger pixel drawings? How do you go about drawing and colouring them?Have your past attempts at drawing larger pixels not turned out too well? Messy lines, unflattering shading? Then take a look at my tutorial on how to draw, colour and add shading and highlights to large pixels!!
The example here is a 150 x 150 px area. The wolf characters belongs to *YunaStrife so please don't use them as your practice dummies!
Finished:
I have had to learn everything I know about pixels by myself through trial and error but I know there must be others like me who really could've used the help and hints. Well I present you with just that!!
I really hope this helps people who like making journal dolls, profile decor and such.

The whole thing is done with the Pencil Tool in Photoshop but the free programmes like GIMP will have that tool aswell.

This is a nice tutorial but it seems your not using an anti-aliasing tool like a blend or blur. Dodge and burn are also anti-aliasing tools. To blur pixels you need to select each shade separately and place them down. To create lines that dont automatically blur you need to disable the anti-aliasing option I hope this helps. Keep pixeling!
