Description
Download for best viewingI haven't done a tutorial in a while so I decided that it'd be good to do an update on how I pixel and animate these days. This one focuses on getting the frames and pixel lines right in order to create those smooth pixel animations you see floating around. My animating and pixelling is far from being perfect but I hope that what I have learnt over the years has been crammed into this tutorial in a way that will help others who want to pixel and animate.
As it states in the tutorial, feel free to ask me any questions! I never leave a comment unanswered.

If you use this tutorial then send me a link of your work! I'd love to see what you've come up with!

Whoa is so cool to see the progress of this and to get to see how you make these!
Man, I'd love to do pixels but I don't have a tablet....yet anyways XD

Aww thanks! I thought Fray would be a good test subject for the tutorial lol.
I don't always use my tablet to be honest. Sometimes I use it for journal dolls and icons but most of the time I just use the touchpad on my laptop. Too much effort to get my tablet sometimes

Aww well thanks! I hope you find it useful if you ever try pixelling
Well I look at it as if someone is kind enough to take the time to comment on my work then it's only fair for me to return that kindness with a reply.

Yes, maybe, for now I'll just be coming to you as I can count on consistent quality.
See, I wish more people saw it like that too, if someone took the time to reply someone, anything, even, "that's really pretty", at least at the minimum say a quick "thanks". When you think of how DeviantART has set it up, it's actually easier for one to reply to kind comments than to comment on the image, so really, a simple "Thanks! " should suffice. If you have a lot of comments, maybe even just write "thanks" on them all, at least something.
If you're unable to do that though, maybe then do a post in your journal or something to thank those who comment and whatnot. I know some already do that, so that's great. As it's been stated before though, it's a lot easier to reply then comment though....

Haha aww thank you! Nice to know I'm classed as quality to be honest
Well I can understand why some people don't comment if they get tonnes a day but as you say, it doesn't hurt to make a journal or even just put in the description of your art that you appreciate comments even if you don't reply.
Personally I never ignore a comment as I've had it done to me and it's a little disheartening to comment on someone's art that you look up to and get no response at all. I don't like the thought of doing that to someone else.
I've had 300+ comments on a piece before and still replied to every single one, even though it became a simple 'thank you' with a smiley face of some form, I'd rather say thank you 300 times than ignore the people who enjoyed my art enough to actually tell me how much they like it.

Yes, that's what I do on my Instagram accounts now, just do group replies, but I still reply.
On here, since there aren't as many comments, I'll reply to every single one. What's worse is when you have someone who doesn't get that many comments, but doesn't even reply, at times, I may not even support their art anymore. Like I'm sorry, but really, are you seriously that too busy with yourself, you can't thank those who helped you get there?!

I don't have Instagram or Twitter or anything like those lol. dA is my only source of art.
Yeah I don't get loads of comments either for the most part, occassionally I'll draw something that people seem to swarm to. Either way I appreciate every single fave, comment and view, if it wasn't for the support I get from the people on this website then I would probably have never improved as much as I have. Knowing you have people cheering your corner makes you want to do better for them and yourself.
See I don't understand that. The only conclusion I've ever came up with for people who do that is that maybe they just don't login as often as people think they do .

I would get that, but they still post art, but don't reply, then it's like wow, unfollow, sorry, but I won't keep commenting and supporting if you don't care about the support.

Ahh well in that case I have no clue. Some people just don't like replying I guess
I can understand where you're coming from, it doesn't take much time to say thank you to someone but to just not reply at all when they're encouraging you seems a bit mean.
