So this is my Blackmoor, Dave. I've been watching him all morning so I can pick off all the colours, thing is my room is pretty sunlit so his black is more brown but meh. What I love about his colours is that his underbelly has this lovely golden copper tint in certain lights, sometimes it's even slightly silver on his sides. Black isn't a strong pigment in fish so when these guys get sick their colouration is the first thing to start changing.For those of you who don't know, Blackmoor are also referred to as 'fancy goldfish' therefore he has a top hat
. This is half from a conversation with *YunaStrife and half from a conversation with =Crazywolfs .I've actually wanted to pixel my Blackmoor for a few months now and today I just thought ' I'm gonna do it!!'.
Anywho ~ This took about 2 hours colouring and half hour line work.

I named him Grandpa... because i had a Lionhead and she was sooo old her name was Grandma.. i think my gram also gave me her...so ffff o3o

I love my Blackmoor to bits but they're so prone to getting sick that I don't know if I could go through the stress of a 3rd one.

My Blackmoor is called Dave, I also have a Zebra fish called Steve and 2 Golden Minnows called Sooty and Sweep.

Yeah Grandpa was a Blackmoor and Grandma was a Lionhead.. and they are very prone to getting sick... before Grandma finally passed i think she was blind in both.. and I actually think she lost an eye.. and i think she has fin-rot.... that little golden-gal really had the fight for life though.. I had her for sooo many years before she died.

Lol thanks! Dave is actually 'Dave the Second'. I had a Blackmoor before him who was also called Dave.
Yush, yush. It's horrible when they become ill because there is literally nothing you can do to help them. I even bought some Clove Oil a few months back on the off-chance that Dave II gets any more ill than he is so I can at least end his suffering humainly.
Aww that must've been horrible for her! I think Dave II has a swim bladder infection, obviously if it gets worse then he'll have no chance but at the moment it doesn't affect him that much so he's ableto swim around happily enough.

Lol, it's not a problem - I have a very high panic mode anyway so it doesn't take much for me to start thinking I've forgot something. Someone only has to tell me my shoe lace is untied and I'll run around like a headless chicken. I don't even wear shoelaces
