i don't even... to be honest i'm kinda dissapointed because i did't keep the realism in at all... i mean, a pony with a plasma gun.WTF brain! well i wanted to play around with lighting and shading effects again. this was a work where i didn't practice on anything special. so far i've been setting a goal for myself each drawing to improve. that goal can be a change of perspective or better background, etc... this time i took all i already knew and kinda put it in one pic
i won't lie though i am happy with the result but dissapointed in how much it doesn't make sense X)i tried sever new things though but they weren't exactly a goal. several perspectives on the characters and envoirment filling. the green strings are supposed to be some sort of slime that takes hold of a place where changelings dwell. since they look like insects i wanted to create an envoirement that looked like it was inhabited by insects. i will admit that that didn't work out to well. but wwith a little imagination it might look like some plants. and one more thing the device on the ponies wrist how could i forget. it might look confuzing at first but take a closer look. it's supposed to be a simple trigger devic where you put the hoof in and pull down to fire. there's gotta be a way for earth ponies to shoot firearms to right?
using my tablet really helps me out though, i created the sketch for this on computer instead of on paper . i'll be uploading a speedpaint of this soon where you can see this getting created from scratch. orginally this was supposed to be something else which you might see in the speedpaint but i couldn't do what i wanted so i did something else. which is really bad actually because that's how you get stuck on the same level i think.
anyways HOLY damn have i been typing this much? O_o well okay then. let me know what you think maybe...

It doesn't matter how much sense it makes, it's art. I guarantee when I post something I will act like a hypocrite but this looks magnificent!

The lighting and the creativity of the gear, the characters all look amazing and well defined.
Serioulsy just throw logic out the widow because I am a sucker for sci-fi and awesome pictures with dragons and maybe even ponies in them.

well actually (i didn't do that very well) there's supposed to be more shading so they wouldn't be bale to see the danger. only the side vissible from the viewer can see the danger. this could have been accomplished with more work but i didn't do it yet i left the words the way they were without changing it cause i'm lazy like that XD

at first glance I thought Dragonfire had a engerized lance, but a plasma gun just sound awesome.
and the MLP yadda does not matter because Dragonfire is your OC. I would recommend it if you use someone elses OC or a Hasbro pony though (ex: Rainbow Dash, Derpy, Heartstrings, ect)

well yeah but since there are changelings in this i thought i had to do that to, they're not really characters since they weren't given an specific role but they're still a part of the show.

Well nothing ever really has to have a meaning, that's for us viewers to figure out and also for the artist to figure out as well!
This is super cool, I love the colors and the vines are really cool, also the shading and the look of the changelings since those guys are so hard for me to draw, I forget the fangs XD
