Ok! here's how I made SSB (found here [link] ) :
(and I know this is a really hastily done photo, and I don't care! hahahahaa!)
First I set the camera on countdown and took a number of frankly unflattering pictures before I found one I could work with. Then I printed it off and outlined all the most important lines. (I also drew the outlines of the girl's legs, because I didn't think the picture would have quite the same effect if she were wearing cargo pants)
I took a picture of that picture, and removed all the color in the picture besides those line, and printed that off. The fourth picture here is of a printoff of a photo of a pencil sketch-- the tracing of the black and white. You may have to take my word for it-- I have neither the time nor patience to fix it so it's visible. Finally, with a few adjustments and fleshing out of the blanket, now flag, I colored it in, scanned it, and voila!
Please note: although she does look a little like me, she isn't me I purposely made her look more asiany, mostly because I thought the hair color would go better with the rest of the picture than brown . . . yeah.
