Description
Another sketch I had kept for quite some time and that I had started in early April, this is a little concept about the fauna of the Middle Jurassic in a world where the extinction of the Triassic did not take place, leaving a mosaic of different types of Archosaurs and other varieties of animals prevailing in addition to the dinosaurs.Above, a little of what would be fauna on land, theropods such as Coelophysoids and Dilophosaurids would still be dominant for a while, being quite predominant although probably teropods like ceratosaurs would already be in process of diversification, a little behind and in a slow rathe due to the great competition around.
Although groups of dinosaurs such as Heterodontosaurids are present, they only form just a part of the actual diversity of herbivores, the other parts being formed by various forms of pseudosuchians both quadrupeds and bipeds, the latter being advanced forms of Shuvosaurids. Among some of the largest herbivores are Protosauropods, which are still prevalent in several areas of the planet. Several groups of triassic Pterosaurs, Cynodonts and strange Diapsids such as Drepanosaurs would be present and be more diverse.
Below, some of the oceanic dwellers,Β Aetosaurs in spite of having been reduced of niche of large herbivores on land, they found other paths, in this case, the water, being now several aquatic forms the largest and common of this group; Phytosaurs have come to colonize part of the ocean, adopting a very metriorhynchid shape. Some of the triassic coast animals like Nothosaurs swim around in great numbers around, being the fore-fin forms very common.Β Ichthyosaurs in this time line were not reduced to the super specialized aquatic beings as we know, on the contrary, the less specialized forms persisted, became the dominant group of reptiles of the ocean during the jurassic, with giant predatory forms similar to mosasaurs, great filter feeders of almost 40 meters long and varied and small species similar to porpoises. Conodonts, ammonoids and others triassic animals are still around.

Β I must admit to being fascinated by the Triassic Period and I am extremely impressed by your highly-evolved versions of the various creatures that called Earth Home during that epoch!Β

I really like this! The ideas of advanced Shuvosaurids amazes me cuz we never really see them around but if love to know more about the Protosauropods and the like maybe like different species variations

ive been thinking, how about at maybe 200 myf or beyond, the bobbit worm goes on land and evolves thrice its ancestors size, mainly becoming the true graboid

I'm working on a project with the same premise, though it is set during modern times! Quite a few of our ideas seem to converge but happily we're largely on different paths. I'd love to see more of this from you.
