Description "Descendant of Homo sapiens sapiensand the product of millions of years of genetic engineering and elective surgery, the newcomer is not yet at home in his new environment. The composition of the air can be changed but the unfamiliar atmospheric pressure presents greater problems. If the newcomer decides to stay, then further engineering will be essential. It was the constant need to withstand different gravities and breathe other atmospheres that led to one change being put on top of another; until genetically, psychologically and intellectually, the newcomer bears no resemblance to his ancestor, Homo sapiens sapiens."

Dougal Dixon, man after man.

after reading this, and see to be mentioned in his suit, I wondered: How these beings would see without his suit?

so in my imagination I emerged a little idea of how serious their appearance in principle and based on their costumes and their behavior, are probably large creatures, barrel-shaped with a color white stone. would remember their appearance much to the gray alien, but they would have developed mouths and mentioned that are carnivores. I probably wrong in this last part

I am reall y happy that somebody made that.Only one thing.I imagined them to have like one limb, since their suit looked like it ha only one ,,sleeve,, and to look absolutely nothing like humans.

Thank you. I think it looks one arm as he drew, there would be no other but you see it is very symmetrical.

This my response to the end of the book heytomemeimhome.deviantart.com…

but I like this greatly as well...(if they looked like this they definantly wouldn't associate themselves with slothmen for example)

This is actually quite cute, I like it!
I always imagined them being more insectile though

Thank you. I also imagined that appearance, but I think it is for their costumes, which makes you have the feeling that they are as "insects"

Yeah, that’s probably true… the suit does look very insect-like

They look like frog people babies. I didn't like how in Man After Man, he basically destroyed the world that he had spent the entire book making.

I agree, it's an ugly outcome. indeed the destruction of the earth was not necessary

Dougal Dixon originally planned to have time travelers destroy the earth of AfterMan but publishers didn't like that, if I remember correctly...

That's one of the main reasons I didn't like the book. That, and the fact that the post humans were also just plain creppy.
