Description
She juggles the fate of the universe...I had real problems with this to start with. I began with quite a clear vision of what I wanted at it instantly seemed to go out the water. For the majority of the painting I felt really frustrated, nearly giving up on it a few times. Eventually, with perseverence it started to come together and I'm actually really pleased with the final outcome.
Loosely based on the fantastic with this awesome stock image: [link]

I am not surprised the journey was difficult, it can't be easy to juggle the fate of the universe. I love all the speckles of light. Great job.

I think it's incredible. Would you consider a materials list some day, as I know you're too busy to do a tutorial on your coloring technique ;-P

What's a materials list?... (if it's a list of materials I use, I'm going to feel quite stupid for asking! )
Actually I have a couple of pieces I have done: Guardian of the Sun and Moon, and Let your Dreams Take Flight, which I scanned in several times as I was painting them. I did it mainly to assess my own progress and as example prep pages for the artbook I'm bringing out in the summer... Maybe I'll stick them on DA if you think they'd be useful to anyone

Hehe, nah, it's my fault. I should have simply asked what paper, and if you used ink; also whether you use tubes or solid watercolour (I even spelled it like a Brit).
If you referring to sticking the medium and list on dA, I think they're always useful for others. Not to copy your exact style, but to add to their own, with different mediums and coloring techniques or materials.

I used to use solid pan watercolours but then I decided to splash out and buy some expensive Windsor and Newton Artists quality watercolour tubes back in February as a birthday present to myself
I'll never go back! My pans can come on holidays with me for ease of use, but the colours I've discovered from proper quality tubes is unbeatable. I only wish I'd started using them earlier, as it made me wonder what my earlier work might been like if I had. The colours are so much more vibrant, vivid and darker.

Do you have a preference for hot or cold pressed paper?

I don't even know the difference! I think I use cold press, but only because that's the first thing I pick up when I go to the art shop...
