It was about time I had a good reference of my fursona/internet avatar, Lemur Rooke. So in case you were wondering, no, I am not in fact a bearded lemur, but rather a real human person! Amazing! But when I go into the internet, I transform into a brown lemur who wears a cool hat and socks. I felt the au natural design of lemur Rooke needed a little something, so shazam, hat and socks!

Also included in this picture is my favorite baby furry dragon, Fuzzby. He is included because he is the mascot of my current webcomic project, Dragontry, whose inception was such an incredible spiritual journey, that Fuzzby also represents my "muse" so to speak; everything that drives me to tell my stories, helps me to learn from the stories I tell, inspires me to better myself and my work and speaks to me of the fantastic future I am building for myself.

EDIT: Continuation of my bright future, that future brought me a poncho. It is now a part of my reference for my fursona. Woo!

It seems like a good place to write a little about myself, so here, have 17 miscellaneous facts about me, Rooke!

Facts About Yours Truly:

1. I am a girl, so feel free to call me she, her, that weird chick, etc. I'm also, as of 2016, 23 years of age!

2. I own a black sailor's cap in real life, and I love it.

3. I love socks! Especially colorful patterned ones. I have a growing collection.

4. I started a sock collection because I consistently asked for socks for Christmas every year since I can remember. I never have enough socks. So why not collect cool ones?

5. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember! Practice makes progress

6. For a very long time I never considered art as a part of my career or more than something fun to do; I always considered myself more of a writer. It wasn't until my mid teens, when I began animating and discovering webcomics, that I learned that drawing is a big part of who I am as well as my writing. From that blossomed my true and deepest love; that of telling stories, whether written, drawn, animated, filmed, sung out loud or just in my head.

7. I grew up a military brat - as in, my parents were in the military (Air Force in fact) and we moved around a lot. My favorite place that I've ever lived was in Okinawa Japan. Thus were the origins of my love of Japanese animation, Pokemon, and foreign cultures and mythologies. Probably also of being a foodie. Gotta love that Japanese food.

8. My favorite comfort food meal is Japanese katsu curry. A close second place is barbecue chicken pizza.

9. My least favorite food is chicharron con chile, but it doesn't pop up much (thankfully) so a more common second would be raw tomatoes. Not a fan.

10. My favorite tv show (at least currently) is Steven Universe. Steven is my favorite character! Other favorite tv shows include Gravity Falls, My Little Pony, Doctor Who, and Avatar the Last Airbender.

11. I love too many books to pick a favorite, but amongst the top are Redwall, Lord of the Rings, Sense and Sensibility, The Book of Mormon and The Bible, Elantris, Warriors, and The Tygrine Cat.

12. Some of my greatest creative inspirations are James A. Owen, Hayao Miyazaki, Walt Disney, Charles Schulz, Jim Henson, Evan Dahm, Brian Jacques, J.R.R. Tolkein, and Brandon Sanderson.

13. My favorite video games are Pokemon, Ni No Kuni, Journey, The Legend of Zelda series, and the Phoenix Wright series.

14. I have a small white dog named Marco! He is a Havanese, barks very loudly, and likes to sit under my desk.

15. I am slightly lactose intolerant. Doesn't stop me loving ice cream, even if it doesn't love me! (I actually prefer froyo for that reason.)

16. My fursona being a lemur was decided by a friend of mine, who said that my face when startled out of my thoughts looks exactly like the wide-eyed stare of a lemur. The variety of bearded lemur is because I had recently seen one at a zoo at the time, and liked the look of them.

17. The origin of the name DragonwolfRooke is because dragons and wolves have always been my favorite animals. The name Rooke came from when I needed a last name for a character I was basing off of myself (it was for a story I was writing with friends in high school.) I had a friend named Brooke at the time. One day while I was searching for the perfect last name for my character, my friend showed me a necklace she had made that had her name one it - but when she showed me, her thumb covered the B. So instead it read: R O O K E. I loved it, named my character after it, and then a while later when I was looking to make a youtube account and "dragonwolf" was already taken, I decided to tag on Rooke because I liked it so much.

And the rest, they say, is history.
