Entry for 's Gijinka Contest. I chose to do her Slowpoke, Gilde, and what he would look like as a Slowking.

I imagine that, through evolving, he gained a bit of confidence in himself. He'd be one of those quiet, kingly sorts. And with his heightened Psychic powers, he created a sort of ghost arm for himself, to replace his missing one. He can channel immense amounts of Psychic power through that arm, even though it's not very good at handling physical things. (He has to focus a lot of energy into it in order to make it corporeal, so often he doesn't bother, and just does it for the comforting feel of having a limb there.)

With his evolution, I wanted to give him a sort of tunic thingie, reflecting how he has that medieval-ish crown now. He still has baggy pants, but they're yellow now, because of the yellow underbelly that Slowking has. Plus he has that sort of striped collar because of Slowking's ruffle. His skin and hair are darker tones now, and the stripe markings that we originally on his ears have moved to the two longest horns on his crown. He has a metal wristband on one hand (he'd have them on both, but yeah, ghost arm.)

I hope that Gilde joins the team full time, eventually. Crystal's going to need a water type at some point, if at least to use Surf and Waterfall. So I hope it'll be Gilde.
