So here we are, the beginning of The Prior! I'm excited to bring you guys this story. I had a lot of fun painting this first page - although some of the details took a lot longer than I anticipated to draw. XD

Since this is the very beginning, I wanted you all to be aware of some stuff regarding this project.

The Prior is going to be...experimental, for me. XD What I mean by that, is that it's been a long while since I worked on a webcomic. I need to...re-figure my mojo out with that. So I chose to write this short story in order to be a medium through which I can accomplish a few goals -
(A) try out some art styles and techniques for comic creation, see how streamlined I can make this
(B) try my hand at an original comic and see how you all respond to it XD
(C) learn how to produce a webcomic again

I wanted it to be a short story, so I could have the freedom to "get back on my feet", so to speak, while not tying myself to a long term project while I'm still figuring things out. I want to do that, but only once I know how I'm going to go about it.

What does all that mean for this story? It means that the style and quality of the artwork is subject to change (although I am determined to make it all of quality work for myself at this time.) It also means that I have no idea when the next page will be. Seriously. That's one of the things I need to re-learn how to do - have an update schedule. Usually I think I'd have a few pages done in reserve before I post, in case I hit a wall, but...I'm impatient and wanted to show you all this first page. XD It might be a little while before I post the next pages while I WORK on a buffer. Or I might just post them as I go along and finish them. Either way, please be patient with me and with the comic's updating.

All in all, The Prior is going to be a "practice" work for me, so to speak, but I also want it to be a cool little story that will give a peek into the world of The Arcandin as well as be a nice read. So wish me luck as I set out to finish it!
