Gawd, so many posts...My dear watchers, I'm sorry.
Anyhoo, I decided to try out a different technique, in which I color my linework with Copics, though instead of shading and everything with them, I leave it as flat color, and then use pencils and charcoal to put shading over it. I thought it worked out pretty well, and I'm thinking I might use this technique in future drawings.
