Kitten swimming, radiant beauty.

The manga style character is brought to a pace that fans in Japan will fall in love.

Tattoo and accessory beauty kitten makes a unique originality from Dragoon, where several love.
Color are chosen to bring out the best a beauty.

The technique used color may be noticed by the use of oil paint or acrylic materials, but it is a small detail of anything and only in full view on the character.
On the sets, it is parfais for style, something wonderful and warm.

The shading, lighting and motion effects are so perfect that imagines allentour.
Single detail is shade on a wooden pole that seems too colourful green, but it's not so bad.

Textures gives the sense of touch as the softness of the kitten.

Breasts and body of the female will attract glances from men, not too surprising to some Japanese arts.

The location of the eyes as she looks looks like it has something in mind without knowing what.

Very light to improve, but to start you say, perfect.

The hair has a feel like a sheet, but the hair style is very special purpose.

I think the talent is very strong on originality, leaves forward, texture sets and the beauty of the beast.

This is an amazing picture.

I like the whole river, the leaves around her, the light colors. It gives you a feeling of relaxation.

I have always loved Anthro drawings, and this one is very well drawn. All the colors give you the relaxed feeling, and the want to go swimming or sit outside.

This is very original because I haven't personally seen a picture of this. And I always liked Cat's ;3

This picture impacts me because it shows how art has grown to be a powerful thing, and I can look at this and feel relaxed.

Yes I know, Relaxation is the key point here in my critique. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="395" title=" (Lick)"/> But overall, this is a very well drawn picture.

I do like the style of your characterdesign.
It is naive and dynamic.
You captured a nice athmosphere in this picture.
The warm green of the leafes gives a really nice contrast.

But on the other hand, this picture describes exactly what i feel, when i look through your galery!
Is this "Texture" even your's?
It looks like you simply used it as a stamp.

It looks like you don't like to draw backgrounds, and it is really clear when i see how much love you put into the designs of your characters.

If you keep just "stamping" and filling with textures, you will never get used to draw your own backgrounds!
I do think most artists struggle to create backgrounds which are on par with their characters, and you should admit, that you are one of them.
If you don't try to create your backgrounds all by yourself, stroke for stroke, then you will regret it in the future, believe me.

I see that you had no texture for the water, because it looks flat and rushed.
Also i don't even know what kind of place this is
It looks like random poles all over the place.
You should plan your backgrounds with your characters and think about its purpose!

This sounds a bit harsh, but it is the truth you must face.
And i don't want to hear any excuses or justifications on this matter!

Well a harsh and good critique for a change~ what you point out is right in most case.
But let me highlight on what you stamping on background, it might look like pure stamping in 2D, but have you think about that how things are create when you building a game stage in a 3D environment? You build basic box, sphere, polygon and what you do next? You will warp the object with texture! And then you will conceptualize with all those element on hand, structure into a scene, and render the object with shadow and lighting. I adapt pretty much the same idea when you structuring background in 2D, like a 3D build block, but it more challenging and tougher to do it in 2D because it just plain texture and won't form in the correct perspective that you might want and have to touch up a lot of area.
And the so call "stamping" method also use by some well known artist, in one of the ImaginaryFX painting guide book(a very popular painting series) one artist even have stepbystep demonstrate how he complete most part of a drawing(it a dragon) by effectively texture his character by morphing his texture he create. And my god that piece is simply epic( and it even provide that texture to that CD included too lol)
For making texture is not really a hard matter for me since I have lot of pattern brush in my photoshop, but because now I have so much texture brush in my inventory that each texture after create may not look similar with each other... And I play Secondlife( It a 3D social game) and I create my own texture into my character and building if needed too. So yeah my mind set biase to the 3D way and not 2D way. And yeah I still have lot to learn on structuring background without all those randomness like you mention.
And I understand your point of view if you are using other ppl texture~ coz it happen to me before and I paid heavy price for that~ and that it will haunt me forever even today.

Anyway thank for points you given and I am a lazy person sometime due to working and family matter. It wonderful for people like you to give a noteworthy critique for a change^^ Really appreciated

The problem is, that i see many good artists that ask for critiques, but what they get is sugarcoting from their "fans" which think, that they are doing something good.

But a critique should contain critique, because that is what helps the artist the most.

So i think that my purpose is to help others with critiques that pint out actual flaws in even the best art and i'm glad that there are people like you which take critiques serious and don't whine like a child when someone says where the mistakes hide.

Don't get me wrong.

I will not tell you what is the right way to do it and what is not.

But even if you did the shapes of the texture you used, by yourself, everything you do afterwards is changing their shape to what is fitting, without drawing them again.

In this way, you will never create new shapes, but only copies of the original.

It is difficult to compare painted art to 3 dimensional environments, because when you draw, you apply those pictures to a 2 dimensional surface and don't apply texture to a 3 dimensional object which allready has its shape.

What you could do is mixing 3 dimensional backgrounds with 2 dimensional characters as for an example redjuice does.

Even though i'm not sure if that would work so well.

The main thing that i wanted to tell you is, that you will not practice drawing backgrounds, if you allways use premade shapes.

Actually IMO integration with 3D have it pro and con, the con which already mention is that you have a tendency to reuse material you use before, but the pro it has though is being much more time saving, in perspective making, nowaday, would you painstakingly draw perspective/vanishing point and drawing out the building or just use 3D software to just create a building and rotate it the correct camera to get nearly the same perspective result? Or you want to draw a window of a high-rise building one by one instead of just define the shape, range and spacing of it and duplicate them in a press of a command? Β It more time and cost saving to generate thing in 3D than in 2D.... That another reason why nowadays anime series always use 3D background and sometime slot in some 3D fighting scene as they are easier to rigged their complex position and stuff instead of frame by frame draw.. Anyway for still frame like mine and still having this mindset is just that I being lazy I admit xPΒ

I think take the texture literally as shape too Β this time... Β next time maybe I should just use 3D as a barebones( just shaping the structure outline and paint it) like this artist fromΒ www.gaialot.com/ Β << he just use Maya and shape a complete 3D background scene and repaint it after that, filling in with his texture and character~ with an amazing result...( I wish I can draw like that someday xD)Β

Anyway~ overall I still have lot to learn and still have lot of mistake need to rough it out~

But then I love to draw character more so I will be back to simple background for a while again yeah xDDΒ

Btw happy early new year Eve^^

Oh thank you... even though it is allmost February.

I for myself use Manga Studio 5 to draw.

It has integrated rulers and vanishing points, so i can make them without much effort.

If you use 3d objects to create a whole scene, there is no guarantee that the perspective will be right.

Also, your drawings will allways lack of originality because you will keep on recycling shapes, because you never learned another way.

The argument of saving time just certifies your statement of beeing lazy.

You just don't want to create backgrounds, because you know, that they are not on the same level as your Characters are and you are afraid of failing.

I will give you this one last advice and warning:

The later you begin to draw complex backgrounds, the more you will regret, that you have not done it earlier.

It is called "comfort zone" and if you are stuck in it, you will not develop further as an arist!

I'm not into furry stuff but i still gave you my watch, because your designs are just really cute and don't seem like some fetish, as most furry artists do...

Sure i like your art, but if you would take away your cutezy designs and replace it with stick figures, what would be left?

I hope you get what i'm trying to say.

Btw stick figure can be epic too!!! xDDDΒ

^^ very very old stuff i did but anyway xDD

And joke aside~ yeah comfort zone it a very problematic stuff really~~ especially for working personal like me which I am nearly half dead from work everyday.. And you just so little time you have to do you own personal life and stuff.. So taking short route is a bad temptation....Β

Anyway I will do my best regarding what you mention and your critique is really appreciate xD

Our new year starts at january 1st.

So i too have only few time after i get home from work, but i also should not use any excuses to be lazy or speeding things up an inapropriate way.

This drawing is a very well put together piece, the use of minimal textures and shapes gives it a uniqueness that is original and intriguing. The lighting and the positioning of the character is also very well done, the angle is great. I also agree that there should be back-stories for the characters. It would be awesome to see more of this kind of style of minimal use.
Also the tribal style of the characters is very interesting to see, not many artists that I like use it in such a unique way and the colors used in the accessories and the shadows really make the whole piece pop.

I'm your fan ... true ^ ^.
a story would be cool for these beautiful characters, something epic, their arts are now s what makes it unique and wonderful ... I do not know if you've ever done or thought about doing that ... but I think it would be amazing, because their skills the scenery and characters are extraordinary.
If you want you can count on me for any chance of history.
I am willing to help if you want.
