I like Ikurga's pose here (very...heroic like >8) ) and the setting was cool. Dunno why but I find war-torn backgrounds very attractive. Is there some sort of battle going on?

Nothing wrong there. Eastern dragons do have hair, y'know? And considering dragoon's art style is mainly based on anime, so that perhaps explains something...
Besides, I think dragons with hair do look much cooler.
